IP Multicast III

Duration:

2 Days

Price:

£750

IP Multicast III course consists of two modules and provides students with in-depth knowledge of PIM-BIDIR, SSM, RP redundancy and a secure implementation of Multicast on a network. PIM-BIDIR and SSM are a natural progression from the currently running protocols on most domains and would be demonstrated in the lab. The curriculum covers both a theoretical explanation of the protocols on Cisco IOS Routers and hands-on exercises that provide students with the skills needed to configure and implement Multicast their networks.

  • To provide the student with an in-depth understanding of how new PIM technology works.
  • Demonstrate the redundancy and security of PIM in a network
  • Identify and describe the best practice in providing a redundant Multicast Network.
  • Identify the drawbacks to BIDIR and SSM on most networks
  • Configure and implement PIM-BIDIR and SSM in the Lab.

Delegates are required to meet the following prerequisites:

  • CCNA
  • BSCI
  • IP Multicast I / IP Multicast II

This course is aimed at network designers and engineers responsible for implementation and management of IP Multicast and students intending to upgrade their current setup to PIM-BIDIR and SSM
